*TEN OF WANDS*
An apparently overburdened laborer carries a bundle of ten wands. These wands obscure both the workers face as well as his vision yet this does not stop him as he continues to march toward the distant estate which seems to be his goal. The sky overhead is clear and cloudless.

*NINE OF WANDS*
A wary figure stands guard from within eight wands. He holds a ninth in his hands as though in preparation for defense. There is a bandage upon his head to indicate he has already been through an altercation. Though the sky overhead is blue and cloudless, the terrain in the distance is uneven and there appears to be no well-traveled pathway for either escape or rescue.

*THE EIGHT OF WANDS*
Eight wands fly through an unclouded sky across an open country. All of these wands are bursting with new growth which it is said may represent creativity and physical or spiritual health. In the distance, past a smoothly flowing river, there is a city atop a hill. This card is thought to represent motion, however the source of the motion is unseen and the targeted destination of these wands is also uncertain. It may be significant to note that there are no human depictions anywhere in this image.

*SEVEN OF WANDS*
A young warrior prepares to defend his position against approaching challenges represented by six upraised wands in the foreground. This young contestant is wearing a green tunic over a yellow garment and his feet are clad in mis-matched boots.

*SIX OF WANDS*
A triumphant figure rides a prancing white horse amidst a celebratory crowd. In his right hand the victor bears a wand decorated with a red ribboned laurel wreath Another laurel wreath is upon his brow. The admirers surrounding him wave their own wands in salutation. Beneath his plain red robe he wears a yellow tunic and soft brown boots which have no spurs on the heels to indicate his victory was an easy or anticipated one. The sky is blue and cloudless, and the horse is cloaked in a blanket of green indicating a financial reward.

*THE FIVE OF WANDS*
Five brightly colored figures are matched against one another in some kind of contest. Each of these figures wields a wand and while there is great energy and motion apparent in this tableau, there is no indication of malice among these contestants. The ground beneath them is even to reflect a "level playing field" and the sky overhead is blue and cloudless.

*FOUR OF WANDS*
Retreating guests wave farewell from beyond a festively decorated archway. Behind the waving couple there is a walled city with many red roofed parapets. The four wands that make up the archway have been decorated with roses and red ribbons.

*THE THREE OF WANDS*
A man is standing among three budding wands. He holds one of these wands and surveys three ships traversing a quiet bay. The shadows behind him indicate sunrise or sunset and the sky is the rich colorful hue of either. He is robed in red with a short green cloak slung over his shoulder to indicate much desire and some means with which to achieve these desires. His head is crowned with a small golden circlet indicating some measure of authority.

*THE TWO OF WANDS*
There is a cloaked figure in a red cap holding a wand in one hand and the world in the palm of the other. He stands on a parapet high enough to offer him the perfect vantage point from which to watch the village beneath him as well as the calm waters of the sea beyond a verdant green shoreline. Another unchosen wand rests against the wall beside him. This wall is decorated with white lilies to signify purity of intent.

*ACE OF WANDS*
A single wand bursting with new growth is offered from within a cloud of mist. In the very distant background there appears to be a castle and a peaceful river that winds its way through the landscape. There is a small grove of trees on the near side of the river.
