For ARIES (March 21 to April 19)
*THE FOUR of WANDS*
Retreating guests wave farewell from beyond a festively decorated archway. Behind the waving couple there is a walled city with many red roofed parapets. The four wands that make up the archway have been decorated with roses and red ribbons.
(Celebration, Accomplishment, marriage, unity, fruits of your labors)
Are you feeling satisfied, Aries? I think you have reason to right now, and I say this because you have pulled a card from the Minor Arcana so it is all about the elemental correspondence of the suit in combination with the numerological significance of the card. In this case you are combining the energy of Wands (which are a reference to Physical Factors) with the energy of Fours (Which are a reference to Stability). The number 4 symbolizes the principle of putting ideas into form. It signifies work and productivity. The 4 is constructive, realistic, traditional and cautious. It is the number of system, order, and management. Four is a number of stability and building for the future. It has much energy which is directed toward the achievement of goals, such as family celebrations or other notable events. Because this is a number of progression and growth, many original ideas are likely to spring forth from what appears to be thin air. Because of the grounded qualities of this number, it has a tendency to be steadfast and can lend an air of reliability to anyone touched by this influence. Four is ruled by Mars and the astrological aspect of the square. Because it has a great deal of stability it is a tremendously trustworthy energy, particularly when attempting to build foundations. So.. I am gonna ask again. Look around you at all you have and all you have accomplished. Are you satisfied? Are you able to enjoy the fruits of your labors? More importantly.... have you taken the time to celebrate your present circumstances? Maybe you just need a little nudge into the right direction to be able to fully appreciate the importance of commemorating this moment with mirth and merriment. Let's look at things through the lense of the Universe and see if that doesn't give us a proper perspective...
You will find some overall information about the planetary positions for this moonphase in general below, and I think all you gotta do is concentrate on the Bold Keywords to understand the horoscopic hints here... but there are some planetary portents that pertain particularly to you. The part of your chart concerning Emergency Management and Crisis Control will host a fabulous foursome made up of the intuitive intelligence of the New Moon, augmenting the successful strength of The Sun, broadcast through the communicative cachet of Mercury and amplified with the assertive action of Mars. The hunk of heaven holding Philosophy, Viewpoint, and Life-Long Learning, remains refreshed through the tremendously regenerative power of Pluto, and you will find the dynamic duo of Venus and all her romantic relevance combined with the expansive energy of Jupiter enthusiastically embracing opportunities available in the corner of the cosmos covering Career, Status, Reputation, and Honor. The mystical district defining The Causes You Champion and The Company You Keep is, again, inspired by the inner idealism of retrograde Neptune, and there is still a little extra oomph to the unexpected intensity of retrograde Uranus in the segment of the sky securing Hidden Impulses and Unconscious Urges. Of course the full illumination of the Full Moon casts a little light on the horary homeground handling Earnings, Income, Wealth, and Value. Finally, the universal area authorizing Daily Duties and Regular Routines is carefully controlled through the stabilizing influence of Saturn. So what does this all mean? Well, me, and the Universe, and The Four of Wands think a little congratulations may be in order. The anticipated itinerary of The Moon will illuminate issues aligned along an astrological avenue all about the way you overcome obstacles impacting your income right around the middle of this Moonphase and this brings some much needed opportunities for better material management in what promise to be times of economic turmoil. This is also where the influence of your daily planetary ruler, Mars, moving through the cosmic corner of intensity, comes into play because when the stakes are high, well, that's when you want to bring your very best game to the field. My Gramma used to say "A kite rises against the wind, not with it"... and this was her way of reminding me that while it is true, you must learn to adjust yourself to the conditions you have to endure, but you should also make a point of trying to alter or correct conditions so that they are most favorable to you... and this is exactly how obstacles are really stepping-stones to success. Me, the Universe, and The Four of Wands think every obstacle you encounter now is just another opportunity to succeed, Sugar, because life offers few better pleasures than that of surmounting difficulties, passing from one step of success to another, forming new wishes and seeing them gratified. This is why we think... with each obstacle overcome... you are absolutely entitled to celebrate your success. Especially if you remember to measure success not so much by the position that you have reached in life as by the obstacles you have overcome on the way!

For TAURUS (April 20 to May 20)
*THE QUEEN of SWORDS*
The Queen sits in profile on a throne decorated with butterflies and a cherub which are both said to be symbols of clear, unfettered thought. Her robes are sky blue and decorated with small clouds. Her crown is fashioned from golden butterfly symbols. She holds an upraised sword in her right hand. Her left hand makes an open-palmed gesture which may refer to an intuitive ability to grasp more than what is presented on the surface. A single bird soars overhead in a clear blue sky. On the distant horizon there appear to be stormclouds gathering.
(Fixed Air = Aquarius, The Widow, great strength, no mercy, passing of judgement)
This time you have drawn a Court Card so I expect that you, Taurus, already know it speaks to things that can be defined by the astrological influence of the card (Fixed Air =Aquarius), or it can be about those people in your life who can be described by the personality traits attributed to the image (Queen of Swords = Feminine, intellectual personality), or, it can even be the energies embodied in the draw through a combination of the rank of the card and the elemental correspondence of the suit (Queens = Caretakers, Swords = Intellectual Issues). Often, it can be a compilation of all those factors. This is where it can sometimes be helpful to take a look at the numerological influences associated with your draw. Numerologically speaking, Queens are ranked thirteenth among the cards of the Tarot. as a number thirteen, but because numerology is based on single digit analyses thirteen is reduced, (1+3=4), and is interpreted as a higher octave of the number four while still retaining overtones that come from being one more than twelve, the ancient number of completion. Thirteen is considered to signify the end of a cycle, as evidenced by the fact that there are thirteen lunar months in the year and thirteen signs in the Celtic and Native American systems of astrology. While thirteen foretells new beginnings, it also signifies that outmoded systems must come to an end to make way for much needed transformations. Number 13 is associated with death and rebirth. It signifies that although in the past you may have been constrained by outer circumstances (for example, poverty, disease, lack of freedom, or ignorance), you are now in a position to learn to persevere through difficulties to achieve a better life, to manage your life so that it is productive, and to break out of attitudes of stubbornness, rigidity, and pettiness. This number is augmented by the overtones of stability and structure represented by the reduced expression of the number four, and this is a darn good thing, because every issue you encounter in life can certainly benefit from increased steadiness and stability, and particularly the kind of stability that comes from knowing the right thing to do, and then having the skill and ability to actually do it. I want you to take another peek at your draw... because there is a little clue you need to notice as you consider the overall implications of "doing the right thing" in your world. Can you see how this figure is seated with a firm grip on the sword in her right hand, and her left hand open and upraised. This is the universal gesture used to indicate an openness and willingness to listen to all sides before rendering a decision, and it should serve as a little reminder that "doing the right thing" isn't the same as "doing the popular thing", "doing the easy thing", or "doing the usual thing"... so you will need to listen to both your head and your heart... weigh things out... and only in this way will you strike the balance that is an essential element of "doing the right thing". Now... and as it comes to finding the best best balance between your head and heart... Well... I think we can't do much better than to check out your chart for the astrological omens...
You will find some overall information about the planetary positions for this moonphase in general below, and I think all you gotta do is concentrate on the Bold Keywords to understand the horoscopic hints here... but there are some planetary portents that pertain particularly to you. The part of your chart concerning Relevant Relationships will host a fabulous foursome made up of the intuitive intelligence of the New Moon, augmenting the successful strength of The Sun, broadcast through the communicative cachet of Mercury and amplified with the assertive action of Mars. The hunk of heaven holding Emergency Management and Crisis Control, remains refreshed through the tremendously regenerative power of Pluto, and you will find the dynamic duo of Venus and all her romantic relevance combined with the expansive energy of Jupiter enthusiastically embracing opportunities available in the corner of the cosmos covering Philosophy, Viewpoint, and Life-Long Learning. Of course the full illumination of the Full Moon casts a little light on the horary homeground handling Self Image and First Impressions. Finally, the universal area authorizing Entertainment and Leisure Pursuits is carefully controlled through the stabilizing influence of Saturn. So what does this all mean? Well, me, and the Universe, and The Queen of Swords think it means that, at least this time around, "doing the right thing" is going to be as simple as following the "golden rule"... just treat all others you encounter as you would wish to be treated yourself if you were in their place. The anticipated itinerary of The Moon will illuminate issues aligned along an astrological avenue all about the way you relate to your relationships... all of them... friends, enemies, lovers, strangers, competitors, co-workers... and even the way you relate to yourself right around the middle of this moonphase. This is also where the influence of your daily planetary ruler, Venus, moving through the cosmic corner of stability, comes into play because the person who sends out positive thoughts activates the world around themselves positively and this draws back positive results. The world is a looking glass and gives back to every one the reflection of their own face. My Gramma used to say "It's not your aptitude, but your attitude, that determines your altitude"... and this was her way of reminding me that when you choose to be pleasant and positive in the way you treat others, you have also chosen, in most cases, how you are going to be treated by others. Our attitudes control our lives. They are a secret power working twenty-four hours a day, for good or bad. It is of paramount importance that we know how to harness and control this great force. Me, the Universe, and The Queen of Swords think you already know that it's always the right time to do the right thing, Thistle, because great attitude does much more than turn on the lights in our worlds... it seems to magically connect us to all sorts of serendipitous opportunities that were somehow absent before the change. The time is right for you to make this magical connection... right now!

For GEMINI (May 21 to June 20)
*THE ACE of WANDS*
A single wand bursting with new growth is offered from within a cloud of mist. In the very distant background there appears to be a castle and a peaceful river that winds its way through the landscape. There is a small grove of trees on the near side of the river.
(New Physical Beginning, Fresh Start, Renewed Health and Vigor, justice, righteousness)
You have drawn another most potent card from the Minor Arcana, (Do you remember? Last moonphase it was the Ace of Pentacles... this time around you have pulled the Ace of Wands...) so, I have every expectation, Gemini that you will remember from our recent conversations that Minor Arcana cards are all about the elemental correspondence of the suit in combination with the numerological significance of the card. In this case you are combining the energy of Wands (which are a reference to Physical Factors) with the energy of Aces (Which are a reference to Potential). Now, "New Physical Potential" can mean a whole lot of things depending upon your circumstances, and of course a "potential" is certainly not the same thing as a "completion", so, sometimes these new potentials are utterly overlooked or underestimated... but... generally this card is a reference to growth. Physical growth is usually easy to spot, you get taller, you get stronger, you can see proof of expansion... you get the idea... but we are also talking about "potential"... and this means that you may need to try to identify those areas in which there is a "potential" for growth to unlock the key to your card. This is where it may be helpful to consider the numerological associations relating to 1. The number 1 symbolizes the principle of beginning or initiation. It signifies that a person must learn to stand alone, be assertive, and achieve recognition for his or her talents. Therefore, the 1 is ambitious, an achiever, and fares best when it is allowed to demonstrate its own ideas. It is self-sufficient, inventive, willful, and dominant. Its energy is goal oriented, focused, and rational. Because one is the first number used when counting, it contains great power, and without it there would be no numbering system as we know it. Every numerical system we are aware of has had one as its initial starting point. Because one signifies the beginning of an enterprise, it is very egocentric and prefers to be the center of attention. One can be happy, loving, romantic, dynamic and charismatic, but on the downside it can also be egotistical, selfish and melodramatic. One is ruled by the Sun and the astrological aspect of the conjunction, so this number is very powerful and is almost always an indication of a clear cut potential for success. By now you should be getting the idea that the horoscopic horizon holds a new potential for growth and expansion... and if you are at all eager to identify these opportunities... then all we gotta do is check your chart for the stellar signposts that will point the way...
You will find some overall information about the planetary positions for this moonphase in general below, and I think all you gotta do is concentrate on the Bold Keywords to understand the horoscopic hints here... but there are some planetary portents that pertain particularly to you. The part of your chart concerning Daily Duties and Regular Routines will host a fabulous foursome made up of the intuitive intelligence of the New Moon, augmenting the successful strength of The Sun, broadcast through the communicative cachet of Mercury and amplified with the assertive action of Mars. Of course the full illumination of the Full Moon casts a little light on the horary homeground handling Hidden Impulses and Unconscious Urges. Finally, the universal area authorizing Domestic Lifestyle and Sense of Security is carefully controlled through the stabilizing influence of Saturn. So what does this all mean? Well, me, and the Universe, and The Ace of Wands think that if you view all the things that happen to you, both good and bad, as opportunities, then you will almost automatically operate out of a higher level of consciousness. The anticipated itinerary of The Moon will illuminate issues aligned along an astrological avenue all about how not to undo what you have already done so you can do what you do without coming undone right around the middle of this Moonphase and this will help you see why you need to start where you are. Distant fields always look greener, but opportunity lies right where you are. This is also where the influence of your daily planetary ruler, Mercury, moving through the cosmic corner of intensity, comes into play because We are continually faced by great opportunities brilliantly disguised as insoluble problems. Written in Chinese, the word crisis is composed of two characters. One represents "danger" and the other represents "opportunity". My Gramma used to say "If opportunity knocks on the wall, it's up to you to build a door"... and this was her way of reminding me that we just don't luck into things as much as we'd like to think we do. We build step by step, whether it's friendships or opportunities. Me, the Universe, and The Ace of Wands think you don't need to wait for the right oportunity when you have the power... right now... to create the right opportunity right there in front of you. Think of it this way. The sign on the door of opportunity reads "push", Puppet, so... you know... what are you waiting for!

For CANCER (June 21 to July 22)
*THE KNIGHT of WANDS*
An enthusiastic knight is astride a galloping horse. In his right hand he bears a wand budding with new growth and in his left hand he holds the reins which can barely restrain his eager steed. He wears a brightly colored tunic over his armor as an indication of energy and his helmet is decorated with a large red plume to signify desire. In the distance there can be seen three pyramids, symbols of arcane knowledge, beneath a cloudless blue sky.
(Mutable Fire = Sagittarius, Moving on, action, luck, feminine?)
At the risk of reducing the meaning here to one of almost laughable simplicity by repeating an advertising campaign, Cancer, I gotta tell ya... the major message of your card is to "just do it". You have drawn a Court Card so I expect that you already know it speaks to things that can be defined by the astrological influence of the card (Mutable Fire = Sagittarius), or it can be about those people in your life who can be described by the personality traits attributed to the image (Knight of Wands = Active, Physical personality), or, it can even be the energies embodied in the draw through a combination of the rank of the card and the elemental correspondence of the suit (Knights = Actors, Wands = Physical Factors). Often, it can be a compilation of all those elements. In any event, the "physical action" referenced by your card is a call for you to stop thinking about it, stop talking about it, stop analysing the implications of it... and... you know... "just do it". In the cards of the Tarot you will find that Knights are ranked with the number 12, however, because numerology is based on single digit analyses twelve is reduced, (1+2=3), and is interpreted as a higher octave of the number three which is an indication of great understanding and wisdom. Much of its knowledge is gleaned from life experiences which enables a sense of calm to prevail in even the most turbulent of situations. Twelve is significant in ancient man’s esoteric life as evidenced by the fact that there were twelve tribes in Israel, twelve disciples followed Jesus, there are twelve astrological signs in the zodiac, there are twelve months in the year, and our modern clock is divided into two groups of twelve hours. It is considered to be the ancient number of completion as it signals the end of childhood and the beginning stages of adulthood. Additionally, the ancient numbering and measuring systems are based on this number, as evidenced by terms such as a dozen (12), a gross (12 times 12), and a foot (12 inches). In it's lower octave expression of three this influence speaks to a synthesis... a combination of separate and distinct forces to forge a new power. The essential lesson of any such synergy is one of combining action with intent to forge a stronger outcome... and the essential message of the Knight of Wands is that intent is all about planning, but for plans to succeed, they must be put into action. This is the time to "just do it". And... if you need some help finding the signs of successful synthesis you can come with me, because I think we can quiz the mystical districts for the best in astrological advice...
You will find some overall information about the planetary positions for this moonphase in general below, and I think all you gotta do is concentrate on the Bold Keywords to understand the horoscopic hints here... but there are some planetary portents that pertain particularly to you. The part of your chart concerning Entertainment and Leisure Pursuits will host a fabulous foursome made up of the intuitive intelligence of the New Moon, augmenting the successful strength of The Sun, broadcast through the communicative cachet of Mercury and amplified with the assertive action of Mars. The hunk of heaven holding Daily Duties and Regular Routines, remains refreshed through the tremendously regenerative power of Pluto, and you will find the dynamic duo of Venus and all her romantic relevance combined with the expansive energy of Jupiter enthusiastically embracing opportunities available in the corner of the cosmos covering Relevant Relationships. The mystical district defining Emergency Management and Crisis Control is, again, inspired by the inner idealism of retrograde Neptune, and there is still a little extra oomph to the unexpected intensity of retrograde Uranus in the segment of the sky securing Philosophy, Viewpoint, and Life-Long Learning. Of course the full illumination of the Full Moon casts a little light on the horary homeground handling The Causes You Champion and The Company You Keep. Finally, the universal area authorizing Commerce and Communication is carefully controlled through the stabilizing influence of Saturn. So what does this all mean? Well, me, and the Universe, and The Knight of Wands think it means that you are not a commodity that comes out of the package ready-made, but something in continuous formation through choice of action. To accomplish great things, you must not only act, but also dream... not only plan, but also believe. And, above all... you gotta remember that even if you can't accomplish everything, you need to act if you are going to accomplish anything at all. The anticipated itinerary of The Moon will illuminate issues aligned along an astrological avenue all about the way your private pursuits impact your public world right around the middle of this Moonphase and this brings an opportunity to act on behalf of your strongest ideals. This is also where the influence of your daily planetary ruler, The Moon, moving from the cosmic corner of intensity to the zodiacal zenith of tradition, comes into play because action is fueled by enthusiasm, and enthusiasm can only be aroused by two things... first, an ideal which takes the imagination by storm... and second, a definite action for carrying that ideal into practice. My Gramma used to say "An idea without action is nothing much, and an action without ideals is nothing at all"... and this was her way of reminding me that at least two sure-fire roads to failure are traveled by those who thought and never did, and those who did and never thought. And, even on those two roads those who try to do something and fail are infinitely better than those who try nothing and succeed. Me, the Universe, and The Knight of Wands are urging you to take action, Angel, because even though action may not always bring happiness, there is no happiness to be had without any action at all!

For LEO (July 23 to Aug 22)
*THE HEIROPHANT*
The Hierophant, or High Priest, shows a papal figure seated upon a throne between two pillars. With his right hand he is offering a blessing to two members of his following. In his left hand he carries a golden staff. Upon his head he wears an ornate golden crown. Before him are crossed keys representing the "keys" or answers to the secret knowledge of life. His red robe and white shoes are decorated with seven crosses and the robes of his followers are alternatively decorated with red roses and white lilies.
(Conventional Wisdom, Rules, Societies Expectations, final say, teacher, respect or guidance)
It's time to "color inside the lines", Leo. I say this because you have drawn a card from the Major Arcana, so, as I may have mentioned before, this card is a reference to things of overarching importance to a particular point you have reached in your continuous life journey far more than it is a reference to the mundane matters of your day-to-day details. This is a time to step back and get a good look at the panoramic perspective of the "big picture" you have been painting with your entire life experience. The Heirophant is all about working within the proscribed parameters of your community... it is about adhering to the "chain of command" and living up to the expectations of the society you live within. Don't get the impression that this card is only about being a good little drone who follows all the rules though, because this card is really more about the rewards to be gained by living up to others expectations of us, and why "conforming to the rules" is often the most direct route to gaining the "keys to success". If success is what you're after, you can get a whole lot of insight from the numerology associated with your card. In the cards of the Major Arcana this one, The Heirophant is ranked 5th. The number 5 symbolizes the principle of multiplicity, progression, and passion. It signifies the need for change, variety, and new growth. This influence is all about disseminating information and asking questions. It is a public number and very outgoing, fast-moving, and mercurial. The five is active, daring, non-conventional, unpredictable, and attracted by the physical senses and indulgences. this isn't a contradiction as seen in a card that represents conformity.... rather it serves as an instruction that the key to freedom lies within behavior found most acceptable in the eyes of the others which surround you. It is a number that promotes pragmatic, opportunistic and very persuasive approaches to almost all social situations. Five is a number which represents service to others. It is highly analytical and has the ability to think critically, but can over-ponder an issue to the point that its significance is no longer relevant. This number governs our ability to think clearly and our intellectual capacity. It is a multifaceted number with links to our state of physical and mental health as evidenced by the fact that much of our experience is based upon five senses, and we move through the world on feet equipped with five toes, and we manipulate things in the world using hands equipped with five fingers. Esoterically speaking, five is ruled by the planet Mercury and the astrological aspect of the quincunx. It is very communicative and witty on a social level. Because this number deals with the concept of communication, on a negative level deception can also be involved, so it is always best to double check for the facts when touched by this particular energy. And.... just what are the facts of your life circumstance? Well.... there was a book on the best-seller list a few years back entitled "everything I need to know I learned in kindergarten" that pretty much encapsulated the major message of this Major Arcana card. The lessons were simple. Say Please and Thank you... Ask permission first... Take turns... Share... Sure, sometimes an individual must make adjustments in order to fit in when this number is significant, but as you can see... the adjustments should be fairly simple ones... as long as you stay "inside the lines". I'm willing to wager that the universe can draw a little map of where all those pesky lines lie... so... lets go look at the cosmic clues...
You will find some overall information about the planetary positions for this moonphase in general below, and I think all you gotta do is concentrate on the Bold Keywords to understand the horoscopic hints here... but there are some planetary portents that pertain particularly to you. The part of your chart concerning Domestic Lifestyle and Sense of Security will host a fabulous foursome made up of the intuitive intelligence of the New Moon, augmenting the successful strength of The Sun, broadcast through the communicative cachet of Mercury and amplified with the assertive action of Mars. The hunk of heaven holding Entertainment and Leisure Pursuits, remains refreshed through the tremendously regenerative power of Pluto, and you will find the dynamic duo of Venus and all her romantic relevance combined with the expansive energy of Jupiter enthusiastically embracing opportunities available in the corner of the cosmos covering Daily Duties and Regular Routines. The mystical district defining Relevant Relationships is, again, inspired by the inner idealism of retrograde Neptune, and there is still a little extra oomph to the unexpected intensity of retrograde Uranus in the segment of the sky securing Emergency Management and Crisis Control. Of course the full illumination of the Full Moon casts a little light on the horary homeground handling Career, Status, Reputation, and Honor. Finally, the universal area authorizing Earnings, Income, Wealth, and Value is carefully controlled through the stabilizing influence of Saturn. So what does this all mean? Well, me, and the Universe, and The Heirophant think it means that you may be entering into a period here where manners matter more than anything else. The anticipated itinerary of The Moon will illuminate issues aligned along an astrological avenue all about your private perceptions and the way they influence your public persona right around the middle of this Moonphase and this brings some very real reasons to be as reasonable as possible right now. This is also where the influence of your daily planetary ruler, The Sun, moving through the cosmic corner of intensity, comes into play because certain outcomes wont have as much to do with grand gestures or the art of the deal, but may hinge more on whether you've sent someone a thank-you note. My Gramma used to say "It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice"... and this was her way of reminding me that politeness and consideration for others is like investing pennies and getting dollars back. Good manners will open doors that money, education, and ambition cannot. Me, the Universe, and The Heirophant think all you gotta do is apply a sensitive awareness of the feelings of others. If you have that awareness, you have good manners, no matter which fork you handle, Honey, it's the simple things... please... thank-you... excuse me... as long as you can manage not to take part in major arguments over minor issues, you should be able to make your winsome way soften even the hardest of attitudes. Remember, politeness is to human nature what warmth is to wax.!

For VIRGO (August 23 to September 22)
*THE FIVE of CUPS (reversed)*
A darkly cloaked figure looks down at three overturned cups spilling their contents on to the ground. From one cup runs red, another runs green, and the third cup may have been dry to begin with as it does not appear to have left an easily discernable stain. Behind this figure there are two remaining cups standing upright. In the distance there is a city on the opposing side of a wide river and far downstream a white bridge crossing this river gleams beneath a gray and colorless sky.
(Sorrow, Regret, Don't cry over spilt milk, defeat, sacrifice not worth the price, out of your control)
My Gramma used to say "Don't cry over spilt milk" whenever I was wasting my time regretting an issue not worth the salt in my tears, Virgo, and I'm pretty sure she would say it to you too. You have pulled a card from the Minor Arcana so it is all about the elemental correspondence of the suit in combination with the numerological significance of the card. In this case you are combining the energy of Cups (which are a reference to Emotional Events) with the energy of Fives (Which are a reference to Challenge). There is another factor to consider when you consider this card. You have drawn your card in the reversed position. Now before you go off assuming the simplistic assessment that a reversed card is an indication that all you gotta do is take the normal interpretation and overturn the meaning, let me caution you that reversals are far more subtle than that. They may indicate a delay, or a block, or an internal (rather than external) manifestation. Indeed, reversals can be viewed in all of these ways, but they should almost never be seen as an automatic inversion of the standard connotation. With all that to think about I will be the first to agree that "emotional challenge" isn't exactly an easy category to conquor, but I think you can get more than a little help if you consider the numerology associated with this card. The number 5 symbolizes the principle of multiplicity, progression, and passion. It signifies the need for change, variety, and new growth. It is a broadcaster, disseminating information and asking questions. It is a public number, outgoing, fast-moving, and mercurial. The 5 is active, daring, non-conventional, unpredictable, and attracted by the physical senses and indulgences. But it is also pragmatic, opportunistic and very persuasive. Five is a number which represents public service, or service to others. It is highly analytical with the ability to think critically, but this energy can sometimes over-ponder an issue to the point that its significance is no longer relevant. Five is ruled by the planet Mercury and the astrological aspect of the quincunx. It is very communicative and witty on a light level. Because this number deals with the concept of communication, on a negative level deception can also be involved, so it is always best to double check for the facts... and... this is where that tricky little "emotional challenge" surely lurks. What if the facts don't fit your feelings? Well.... you can ignore your feelings... (see how that figure in the card is ignoring the upright cups... as though they were unimportant?)... or you can ignore the facts... (see how the figure depicted in your draw is totally focused on the overturned cups, as though regret is all it takes to set them upright again?...) OR... you can acknowlege both the facts and your feelings... and refuse to waste any more time or energy "crying over spilled milk". I already have an idea which is the best thing for you to do, but if you want... we can consult the celestial secrets for a cosmic clue or two...
You will find some overall information about the planetary positions for this moonphase in general below, and I think all you gotta do is concentrate on the Bold Keywords to understand the horoscopic hints here... but there are some planetary portents that pertain particularly to you. The part of your chart concerning Commerce and Communication will host a fabulous foursome made up of the intuitive intelligence of the New Moon, augmenting the successful strength of The Sun, broadcast through the communicative cachet of Mercury and amplified with the assertive action of Mars. The hunk of heaven holding Domestic Lifestyle and Sense of Security, remains refreshed through the tremendously regenerative power of Pluto, and you will find the dynamic duo of Venus and all her romantic relevance combined with the expansive energy of Jupiter enthusiastically embracing opportunities available in the corner of the cosmos covering Entertainment and Leisure Pursuits. The mystical district defining Daily Duties and Regular Routines is, again, inspired by the inner idealism of retrograde Neptune, and there is still a little extra oomph to the unexpected intensity of retrograde Uranus in the segment of the sky securing Relevant Relationships. Of course the full illumination of the Full Moon casts a little light on the horary homeground handling Philosophy, Viewpoint, and Life-Long Learning. Finally, the universal area authorizing Self-Image and First Impressions is carefully controlled through the stabilizing influence of Saturn. So what does this all mean? Well, me, and the Universe, and The Five of Cups think it means that the your success is measured by the strength of your desire... the size of your dream... and how you handle disappointment along the way. The anticipated itinerary of The Moon will illuminate issues aligned along an astrological avenue all about the way you communicate your beliefs and believe in your communications right around the middle of this Moonphase and this means you better say what you mean and mean what you say. This is also where the influence of your daily planetary ruler, Mercury, moving through the cosmic corner of intensity, comes into play because every time you stand up for an ideal, you send forth a tiny ripple of hope... and that may never be more important than right now. My Gramma used to say "Disappointment is not defeat"... and this was her way of reminding me that we should not let our fears hold us back from pursuing our hopes. Of course we must accept certain disappointments, but we have to remember they are finite, and this is how we can keep safe our hope.... which is (or should be) infinite. Disappointment is what cold water is to burning metal... it strengthens, tempers, and intensifies, but never destroys hope. Me, the Universe, and The Five of Cups think that you may be disappointed if you fail, but you are absolutely doomed if you don't even try, Tiger, and this is why you must pay less attention to your fears and more to your hopes and dreams. Don't dwell on your frustrations, instead, think about your potential. Stop obsessing about what you tried and failed, and concentrate on what is still possible for you to do. When the world says, "Give up," hope whispers, "Try it one more time"... and if you listen real hard... I'm certain you will hear the whole universe whispering something very similar to you right now!

For LIBRA (September 23 to October 23)
*THE PAGE of CUPS*
A jovial young page holds a cup aloft in his right hand. A fish frolics from within that cup. The page wears garments suggestive of finery, as if he were dressed for a party or some other festive occasion, and behind him gentle waves can be seen beneath a clear and cloudless sky.
(Lighthearted fun, gifts, what you want, happiness, attaining and keeping what you desire)
This might be a good time to "lighten up", Libra, and I suggest this because you have drawn a Court Card so I expect that you already know it speaks to things that can be defined by the astrological or seasonal influence of the card (Cups = Spring), or it can be about those people in your life who can be described by the personality traits attributed to the image (Page of Cups = Youthful, amusing personality), or, it can even be the energies embodied in the draw through a combination of the rank of the card and the elemental correspondence of the suit (Pages = Messengers, Cups = Emotional Events). Often, it can be a compilation of all those influences. Now, among the cards of the Tarot the Page is ranked eleventh, and even though numerology is based on single digit analyses eleven is never reduced, because it is a Master Number. Although there are schools of metaphysical thought that teach that someone with a master number is actually an "old soul" of an ascended master, the appearance of a master number does not necessarily indicate the person is actually the returned incarnation of an avatar from out of the dim recesses of history. It does, however, indicate the presentation of an opportunity to master a particular moment or talent during this lifetime in order to make an important contribution for mankind in any field of spiritual, scientific, medical, religious, educational, governmental, artistic, or technological advancement. The number 11 symbolizes the principle of enlightenment. It colors everything with drama, a visionary outlook, artistic sensitivity, and a sparkling quality. It may not, at first, appear truly practical, but the contribution of this influence is in a unique perspective and philosophy which instigates new consciousness and opens up whole new avenues of exploration and education. The most harmonious application of this energy seeks to express higher consciousness, unite spiritual Truth to material plane, and serve as an inventive, visionary leader. So... here we are, presented with a message about "emotional expertise"... or... at least an opportunity to master a certain emotional episode... and this card is an indication that all you gotta do is be a little less serious... Take a look at that image... there is a lot of lighthearted fun in finding a carp in your cup... don't you think? So... if the cards are suggesting you need to find the funny side... it is a cinch that the celestial signs is all primed to point the way...
You will find some overall information about the planetary positions for this moonphase in general below, and I think all you gotta do is concentrate on the Bold Keywords to understand the horoscopic hints here... but there are some planetary portents that pertain particularly to you. The part of your chart concerning Earnings, Income, Wealth, and Value will host a fabulous foursome made up of the intuitive intelligence of the New Moon, augmenting the successful strength of The Sun, broadcast through the communicative cachet of Mercury and amplified with the assertive action of Mars. The hunk of heaven holding Commerce and Communication, remains refreshed through the tremendously regenerative power of Pluto, and you will find the dynamic duo of Venus and all her romantic relevance combined with the expansive energy of Jupiter enthusiastically embracing opportunities available in the corner of the cosmos covering Domestic Lifestyle and Sense of Security. The mystical district defining Entertainment and Leisure Pursuits is, again, inspired by the inner idealism of retrograde Neptune, and there is still a little extra oomph to the unexpected intensity of retrograde Uranus in the segment of the sky securing Daily Duties and Regular Routines. Of course the full illumination of the Full Moon casts a little light on the horary homeground handling Emergency Management and Crisis Control. Finally, the universal area authorizing Hidden Impulses and Unconscious Urges is carefully controlled through the stabilizing influence of Saturn. So what does this all mean? Well, me, and the Universe, and The Page of Cups think it means that somewhere in between goals is a thing called life that has to be lived and enjoyed because the true object of all human life is play. Earth is a task garden... heaven is a playground. The anticipated itinerary of The Moon will illuminate issues aligned along an astrological avenue all about value in general... what you value... what the world values... and the essential differences between the two right around the middle of this Moonphase and this brings some much needed insight into why it's true that if it's not fun, you're probably not doing it right. This is also where the influence of your daily planetary ruler, Venus, moving through the cosmic corner of stability, comes into play because there is a serious need for some serious fun working it's way through your world. My Gramma used to say "Sorrow will find you on it's own, but it's up to you to find your fun"... and this was her way of reminding me that it's essential to our well-being, and to our lives, to play and enjoy life. Every single day you gotta do something that makes your heart sing. Me, the Universe, and The Page of Cups want you to remember that you never get any fun out of the things you haven't done, Dear, People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing. Creative ideas flourish best in an environment which preserves some spirit of fun. Nobody is in business for fun, but that does not mean there cannot be fun in business. People are going to be most creative and productive when they're doing something they're really interested in. So having fun isn't an outrageous idea at all. It's a very sensible one... and the best way for you to make sense of everything around you is to inject a whole lot more nonsense into the mix... get going... get goofy... and get on with the absolutely essential business of finding your fun!

For SCORPIO (October 24 to November 22)
*THE EMPEROR*
A sovereign ruler wearing a golden bejewelled crown is seated upon a throne decorated with the heads of rams carved into it. This may signify the initiating decisive kind of leadership represented by the sign of Aries. In his right hand he holds a scepter. In his left hand he holds a golden globe which is said to be a symbol of the whole world. Beneath his royal robes we can see that he is wearing armor and thus is prepared for battle. His throne is situated upon the sandy shore of a small river that runs past mountainous cliffs.
(Authority, Ruler, Leadership, Decision, Corruption)
This is all about "Authority", Scorpio... and particularly about the way you express it, and are effected by it. This is a card from the Major Arcana, so as I am certain I have mentioned before, it is a reference to the big themes in your continuous life journey. You may want to step back a little now to get the "big picture", because this is gonna be more about the overarching issues of your entire life path far more than it is about the daily details of more mundane matters. I want you to think first about all the things you have heard all your life regarding the issue of "authority". Things like, "leadership is action, not position", or "every man (or woman) is a King (or Queen) in their own castle", or even "question authority". Ok... while you consider all the well known cliches about the issue in general, I'm gonna point out some specific significance to the numerology associated with your draw. Among the cards of the Tarot, this one, The Emperor is ranked with the number four. The number 4 symbolizes the principle of putting ideas into form. It signifies work and productivity. The 4 is constructive, realistic, traditional and cautious. It is the number of system, order, and management. There are many gifts associated with this influence, such as concentration, realistic values, and a systematic approach to problem solving, but there are challenges associated with it as well. Sometimes this energy is rigid, too cautious, or unable to expand beyond a limited viewpoint. Four is a number of stability and building for the future. It has can direct much energy and effort toward the achievement of goals, such as family celebrations or other notable events. Because this is a number of progression and growth, many original ideas are likely to spring forth from what appears to be thin air. Because of the grounded qualities of this number, it has a tendency to be steadfast and can sometimes give the impression of being boring. Four is ruled by Mars and the astrological aspect of the square. It is forceful and dominating with a great deal of stability and is therefore a good number when attempting to build foundations. When 4 is predominant, quite often people will need to overcome obstacles in order to reach their highest potential. So... we're back to you and your life-long relationship with these influences... What do you need to know about "Authority" right now?... How to use it?... How to change it?... How to challenge it?... I'm gonna guess that we can find a couple of celestial signs to help us out with the answers to these... and probably a couple other... questions posed by The Emperor, so come scan the skies with me and we'll see what the heavens have to say about it...
You will find some overall information about the planetary positions for this moonphase in general below, and I think all you gotta do is concentrate on the Bold Keywords to understand the horoscopic hints here... but there are some planetary portents that pertain particularly to you. The part of your chart concerning Self-Image and First Impressions will host a fabulous foursome made up of the intuitive intelligence of the New Moon, augmenting the successful strength of The Sun, broadcast through the communicative cachet of Mercury and amplified with the assertive action of Mars. The hunk of heaven holding Earnings, Income, Wealth, and Value, remains refreshed through the tremendously regenerative power of Pluto, and you will find the dynamic duo of Venus and all her romantic relevance combined with the expansive energy of Jupiter enthusiastically embracing opportunities available in the corner of the cosmos covering Commerce and Communication. The mystical district defining Domestic Lifestyle and Sense of Security is, again, inspired by the inner idealism of retrograde Neptune, and there is still a little extra oomph to the unexpected intensity of retrograde Uranus in the segment of the sky securing Entertainment and Leisure Pursuits. Of course the full illumination of the Full Moon casts a little light on the horary homeground handling Relevant Relationships. Finally, the universal area authorizing The Causes You Champion and The Company You Keep is carefully controlled through the stabilizing influence of Saturn. So what does this all mean? Well, me, and the Universe, and The Emperor think that it's all too true... there are two kinds of people who never amount to much... those who cannot do what they are told, and those who can do nothing else. The anticipated itinerary of The Moon will illuminate issues aligned along an astrological avenue all about the way you relate to "authority" in all it's forms... and in both yourself and in others around you right around the middle of this Moonphase and this brings some serious insight into how it is that you can have power over people as long as you don't take everything away from them. Because when you've robbed a person of everything, they are no longer in your power. This is also where the influence of your daily planetary ruler, Pluto, moving through the cosmic corner of enthusiasm, comes into play because a person who enjoys responsibility usually gets it. But a person who merely likes exercising authority usually loses it. My Gramma used to say "If you're going to kick authority in the teeth, you might as well use both feet"... and this was her way of reminding me that a position of authority is neither necessary nor sufficient for the exercise of leadership. In fact, sometimes a position of authority is exactly what must be overcome in order to actually exercise leadership. Me, the Universe, and The Emperor want to remind you that the key to successful leadership, Lover, is influence, not authority. Every great advance in natural knowledge has involved the absolute rejection of authority... and this requires that people of influence step up... stand up... and question authority when it's right and necessary to do so. So.. you know... you can follow the herd, or you can lead the way... you don't need any more authority than you already have to make the choice... and the choice is entirely up to you!

For SAGITTARIUS (November 23 to December 21)
*THE SIX of WANDS*
A triumphant figure rides a prancing white horse amidst a celebratory crowd. In his right hand the victor bears a wand decorated with a red ribboned laurel wreath Another laurel wreath is upon his brow. The admirers surrounding him wave their own wands in salutation. Beneath his plain red robe he wears a yellow tunic and soft brown boots which have no spurs on the heels to indicate his victory was an easy or anticipated one. The sky is blue and cloudless, and the horse is cloaked in a blanket of green indicating a financial reward.
(Anticipated Victory, peace, return from a journey, a welcoming)
This card says you can anticipate success, so long as you are be careful not to "snatch defeat from the jaws of victory", Sagittarius. You have, again, pulled a card from the Minor Arcana so it is all about the elemental correspondence of the suit in combination with the numerological significance of the card. In this case you are combining the energy of Wands (which are a reference to Physical Factors) with the energy of Sixes (Which are a reference to Harmony). The whole concept of "physical harmony" often translates into almost certain success... and you can see just by the image depicted in your draw that there appears to be ample indication of cause for some sort of victorious celebration... but, it's a little more complicated than just that, because the card you drew also contains some numerological implications. Six relates to tact, beauty and harmony. It is very much a relationship builder which corresponds to one-to-one encounters. It deals with that which we are attracted to and those things we find great pleasure in. Six possesses charm, grace and the ability to make small talk on any stratum, and is therefore much of a diplomat. It is considered to be a minor money number, so a little extra income will be available wherever this number is found. Six is ruled by the planet Venus and the astrological aspect of the sextile. It is a pleasant, harmonious number with a free flow of energy, which will enable many opportunities for accomplishment to come to the individuals who this number has touched. But, of course, just because a reason to anticipate success is implied in your draw, you should in no way assume that it is a sure thing... and you still gotta try not to let overconfidence sow the seeds of failure into what should be your "victory garden". This may be a good time to scan the skies for some astrological insight...
You will find some overall information about the planetary positions for this moonphase in general below, and I think all you gotta do is concentrate on the Bold Keywords to understand the horoscopic hints here... but there are some planetary portents that pertain particularly to you. The part of your chart concerning Hidden Impulses and Unconscious Urges will host a fabulous foursome made up of the intuitive intelligence of the New Moon, augmenting the successful strength of The Sun, broadcast through the communicative cachet of Mercury and amplified with the assertive action of Mars. The hunk of heaven holding Self-Image and First Impressions, remains refreshed through the tremendously regenerative power of Pluto, and you will find the dynamic duo of Venus and all her romantic relevance combined with the expansive energy of Jupiter enthusiastically embracing opportunities available in the corner of the cosmos covering Earnings, Income, Wealth, and Value. The mystical district defining Commerce and Communication is, again, inspired by the inner idealism of retrograde Neptune, and there is still a little extra oomph to the unexpected intensity of retrograde Uranus in the segment of the sky securing Domestic Lifestyle and Sense of Security. Of course the full illumination of the Full Moon casts a little light on the horary homeground handling Daily Duties and Regular Routines. Finally, the universal area authorizing Career, Status, Reputation, and Honor is carefully controlled through the stabilizing influence of Saturn. So what does this all mean? Well, me, and the Universe, and The Six of Wands think it means that success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it... so all you gotta do is keep on keeping on and you will surely reach your goals. The anticipated itinerary of The Moon will illuminate issues aligned along an astrological avenue all about bringing your deeper desires into daily focus right around the middle of this Moonphase and this brings some much needed opportunities for fueling your inner visions. This is also where the influence of your daily planetary ruler, Jupiter, moving through the cosmic corner of stability, comes into play because it seems that spectacular achievements are always preceded by unspectacular preparation. This is why you need to stay enthusiastic about all your progress... even the little steps. Success is a staircase, and to reach the top you need to do more than stare up the steps, you need to step up the stairs. My Gramma used to say "Success comes in a can, failure in can't"... and this was her way of reminding me that everyone always has to pass failure on their way to success. Success isn't permanent, but failure isn't fatal either... and even though you don't have to be great to start... you have to start to be great. So clearly... this is no time for you to stop. Me, the Universe, and The Six of Wands think a true champion is a dreamer that refuses to give up, Pup, no horse gets anywhere until he is harnessed. No stream or gas drives anything until it is confined. No Niagara is ever turned into light and power until it is tunneled. No life ever grows great until it is focused, dedicated, disciplined. No pressure, no diamonds. No rules for success will ever work if you don't. No one can cheat you out of ultimate success but yourself... so... try not to do that... OK?
