*TEN OF SWORDS*

A red cloaked figure lays face down beside a waveless shoreline. A black starless sky is barely illuminated by the last rays of a setting sun. There are ten swords rising from the back of the prone figure and his head is turned toward the shoreline concealing his face. This still figure's right hand is visible and slightly cupped revealing fingers that may be crossed.

Blackness is all around as though this were the darkest nighttime and nine horizontal swords are arranged as a backdrop for this tableau. Carved upon the base of this bedstand, near where the pillow rests, is a scene of undefended attack.

*EIGHT OF SWORDS*

A bound figure stands on a narrow dry spot surrounded by puddles. She is wearing a blindfold and the ground at her feet appears to be uncertain. This figure is unmoving and stands in the midst of eight swords embedded in the surrounding sand. She does not appear to struggle against these bonds, but rather, calmly awaits her fate. There is a castle atop the distant cliffs behind her. This entire tableau is depicted beneath a gray and dismal sky which is absent of both clouds and sunshine.
(trapped, but protected, inaccessable, an inability to see or focus on your surroundings, something beyond your control)

*THE TWO OF SWORDS*

A white clad figure is seated with her back to the ocean. This is said to indicate dispassion through the lack of emotional influence. She wears a blindfold and in each hand she carries a sword. Her arms are crossed before her and the ocean behind her is almost calm beneath a clear sky. There is a single celestial body in the sky but it is difficult to determine if it is the waxing moon, or the eclipse of the sun. On her feet this figure wears golden slippers. She wears no other adornments or symbols of wealth.
